Mitsubishi 149 inch OLED ISE-2010
Mitsubishi Electric show  a 155-inch sized OLED Television display, which consists of small sized OLED parts (estimated size is a 10×10cm square unit) at the Ceatec 2009. The large scale OLED display has been developed for digital signage and monitors placed at public spaces.

Thanks to the  modular system the large screens can be curved in large installations, to follow the curvature of a building, wall or wherever else it’s installed. Because  OLED technology used in the creation of this system, brightness is said to be three times greater than in regular LCD TVs. Organic compounds in the pixels degrade over time, however, with the set’s life rated at 20,000 hours of continuous use.

The pixel pitch is about 3mm. But when watched from a distance of more than 2m, the display looked fine enough for me. The pixel pitch of large-size LED displays is normally 4 to 6mm. There are some LED displays with a pixel pitch of 3mm, but they use many LEDs and are too expensive to become popular, Mitsubishi Electric said.
